Law Schools Partnership Program Update

Now that we're well into the second half of 2002, a few new developments have taken place in the Law Schools Partnership Program.

Changes to the Westlaw Specialist Team:
Firstly, your point of contact for Westlaw has changed. Rather than one trainer for the law schools in Australia, we have a team of Westlaw Specialists. The advantage is that your training requirements can be met faster, as we have more trainers available to call upon according your needs. Any assistance and training that you require will be coordinated by myself, and I will ensure that one of our Westlaw Specialists will be available to train in your Law School.

Input into the Westlaw Law Schools portal:
We are always encouraging your input in to the Westlaw Law Schools portal. If you have any ideas that you think should be put into action, or have suggestions for making the Westlaw Law School portal a better forum for Westlaw users, please send them through to westlawstudent@thomson.com.au and fill me in! Our team would love to hear from you!

In conclusion:
So in the latter half of 2002 you will now find that there is not just one trainer, but a whole team of Westlaw trainers available to deliver the training that you require. Please remember that if you want training on any particular area of research, be it related to a particular issue from a jurisdiction of interest, let your librarian know, and we will coordinate a session for you when a Westlaw Specialist is next in your school.

I look forward to meeting with all Westlaw users, staff and student alike, in your School's ongoing involvement and support for the Law School's Partnership Program. Please feel free to communicate with me directly on westlawstudent@thomson.com.au.
